360 Degree Feedback:
360 degree feedback is a way for managers to solicit valuable information about an employee’s performance. Fellow team members often know more about an employee’s day-to-day performance than the direct supervisor. In fact, anyone who has useful information on how the employee does the job may be asked to participate in providing 360 degree feedback. The purpose of the feedback is to assist each individual to understand his or her strengths and weaknesses and contribute insights into aspects of his or her work needing professional development. Additionally, the employee receives a broader perspective of how they are perceived by others and has a perception of the feedback as more valid and objective, leading to greater acceptance of results of the evaluation.
