PRE-CONFERENCE TRAINING

To further leverage your participation at SuccessConnect, we're offering a convenient and specialized pre-conference training program prior to the event you attend. Below is the list of courses offered per city and description of the session. In each course, you'll receive hands-on experience on topics and issues not typically covered in our standard training program. There is an additional cost for each course and attendance limited to 25 students per session. To register for a pre-conference session just register for SuccessConnect and it will be one of the options offered during registration.



SuccessConnect Sydney

Selling Workforce Planning and Analytics  (this session is for partners only) – this is a day and a half session Monday 2- 5:30 with dinner at 6:30 pm/Tuesday 9 - 4

Session objective:
Increase partner sales teams knowledge and capability to support selling Workforce Planning and Analytics in APAC region.
Format and focus areas:
• Demo Sessions: will focus on techniques, tactics and approaches to demonstrating Workforce Planning and Analytics module and its sub-parts.
• Content Sessions: will drill into the detail of modules and features, components.
• Selling Successfully Sessions: will focus on sales process, tactics, obstacles and winning strategies.
• Playback Sessions: interactive sessions including role-play, presentations and Expert Q&A.

Implementing Workforce Planning and Analytics (this session is for partners only) – 8 hours total

Session objective: Increase partner knowledge and capability to manage and deliver Workforce Planning and Analytics implementation and support in APAC region.
Format and focus areas:
• Content Sessions: will drill into the detail of modules inclusions, implementations and support services for the module.
• Solutions Consultant Toolkit Sessions: will be technical training for Solutions Consultants in using tools in the module to understand the tool and its function as well as set up demos sandboxes and tender responses that rock.

Introduction to the Learning Management System (this is a full day session – 8 hours)

This course introduces participants to the standard learning needs management approach to administering SuccessFactors Learning. Participants will go on a guided tour of the system and gain hands-on experience creating and configuring course items and curricula. Participants will use system functions to assign and record learning events and run reports.

BizX Performance Mgt for New Admins - 4 hour session (PM)

This course uses the concepts and terminology associated with SuccessFactors Performance Management Admin functionality, and helps you develop a working knowledge of this model for use in implementing your performance management strategy. You will gain basic skills in how to use the SuccessFactors Performance Management Admin functionality. In this course you will create and modify form templates, and manage performance management forms using the step-by-step, hands-on exercises.

BizX Goal Mgt for New Admins - 4 hour session (AM)

This course uses the concepts and terminology associated with SuccessFactors Goal Management Admin functionality, and helps you develop a working knowledge of this functionality for use in implementing your goal management strategy. You will gain basic skills in how to use SuccessFactors Goal Management as an Admin to import objectives, add and modify objective plan templates, and manage goal settings using the step-by-step, hands-on exercises.

Workforce Transformation: Bridging the Gap Between the Workforce You Have and the Workforce You Need - 5 hour session

This workshop will look to create a dialogue amongst customers and SuccessFactors staff to explore the nexus between workforce planning and talent initiatives that can transform your workforce.

LMS Report Designer (this is a two day session – 16 hours, Monday 8-5/Tuesday 8-5)

This course introduces participants to reporting in the SuccessFactors Learning Management module and how to use this tool to edit an existing report provided by the SuccessFactors LMS module. Participants gain hands-on experience researching the SuccessFactors data model, report structure, making format changes to a report, and making minor changes to SQL queries. Participants will test the report in the SuccessFactors application and troubleshoot as necessary. In day two, participants learn to edit queries to add/change fields, add search selectors, modify report layout, and roll out the report in SuccessFactors Learning.

Do you have a difficult or complex certification program? Do you need to setup automatic initial or retraining periods? After completing this session you will be able to configure requirements, manage initial and retraining periods as well as use curricula and sub-curricula effectively.

Develop a Feedback Loop with Evaluations - 4 hours (PM)
Additional fee of $450 / Tuesday June 5

Evaluations are a powerful tool that allow for surveys to be tracked for User Satisfaction (Level 1), Learning comparisons between a pre-test and post-test (Level 2) and the Application of Learning (Level 3). After completing this session you will be able to create and configure level 1 and 3 evaluations as well as run reports for pre and post tests.

Online Content for Developers - 4 hours (AM)
Additional fee of $450 / Tuesday June 5

This course is designed to help participants who are content developers and will focus on integrating third-party content with the legacy SuccessFactors Learning. The course is designed to be an introductory overview and will not delve into technical details. The following topics will be discussed (time permitting):

  • Overview of AICC, SCORM, and the SuccessFactors Tracking Functions
  • Common issues with content integration
  • Content troubleshooting tips

Online Content for Admins - 4 hours (PM)

This course is designed to help participants who are system administrators and will focus on using system functions contained within SuccessFactors Learning in order to create and maintain online content objects, blended learning items, and utilize the import tools.
