Business Execution (BizX) focuses on optimizing Business Alignment (making sure that people are working on the right things every day) and People Performance (making sure everyone is performing at their full potential). SuccessFactors Business Execution Software strategy has three seminal components:
-- Deliver the industry leading Business Execution Software suite (see
corresponding release, "SuccessFactors Announces Business Execution
Product Road Map");
-- Create the largest Business Execution Platform through SuccessCloud (see
corresponding release, "SuccessFactors Expands SuccessCloud
Offerings and Partnerships");
-- Build the most robust go-to-market capabilities for selling, servicing,
and supporting the largest global base of Business Execution customers.
Business Execution Emerges as the Agenda
SuccessFactors believes that improving execution is today's number one business imperative. According to The Conference Board's recent post-downturn report on the top ten CEO challenges, more than 55 percent of CEOs rate "excellence in execution" as their number one concern. The report found that companies fail to execute due to poorly communicated strategy, unclear accountability, inadequate performance monitoring and poorly defined goals and responsibilities. SuccessFactors Business Execution Software addresses these challenges, bringing people performance and business alignment together to help companies bridge the gap between strategy and execution.
"New technologies are evolving and driving new levels of collaboration and connectivity between workers and across companies. At the same time, business leaders are dealing with new challenges which have forced them to more deeply assess the way their companies perform. There is a sea change happening where companies need and want to move beyond the traditional capabilities of CRM, HCM and financial systems, to solutions that can help manage the more complex aspects of business, such as how work gets done, how people collaborate and how companies execute against their goals and strategies. Business Execution software is the next dynamic level of these types of applications that engages users and gives a company's workforce the tools to work together to execute," said Bruce Richardson, chief research officer, AMR Research.
"Business Execution Software is the most important new breed of enterprise software in years," said SuccessFactors "Chief Execution Officer" Lars Dalgaard. "Traditional enterprise applications are about automating processes and transactions. Today customers need applications that help knowledge workers get stuff done. We are on a mission to solve the biggest problem in business today: The ability to execute."
A recent study of 500 SuccessFactors customers, conducted by a top-tier management consulting firm, found that a focus on execution helped increase revenue while reducing costs by:
-- Helping to create a more nimble organization by quickly communicating
strategy change, reducing time by an average of one week;
-- Focusing employees and managers on what they should be doing by
increasing time spent on strategic priorities by an average of 5.5
percent;
-- Streamlining workflow to increase project completion by an average of
13.8 percent;
-- Increasing overall productivity by an average of 2.8 percent, with an
overall increase of 1 percent of revenue to the bottom line.
The company will host a lunch event today in San Francisco to discuss the company's next generation of solutions and corporate strategy, and will also host a virtual event that will stream this presentation live at 1:00pm PDT / 4:00pm EDT.
