SuccessFactors Named the Top Learning Organization in the World for 2013
SUCCESSFACTORS NEWSBYTE – September 5, 2013 – SuccessFactors, an SAP company, was recognized as the Top Learning Organization in the world by Elearning! Magazine’s Learning! 100 list for 2013. The Learning! 100 Award recognizes 60 corporate and 40 public sector organizations of all sizes for outstanding learning culture, innovation or collaboration that drives performance. Companies are evaluated using three criteria: Aberdeen Group's best-in-class Learning & Development assessment, Elearning! Media Group's Learning Culture index and the overall performance of the organization.
"When evaluating the top learning organizations in the world, SuccessFactors stood out as a clear leader across the board," said Joe DiDonato, awards chair and Enterprise Learning! Conference & Expo (ELCE) conference director. "As a result of its robust learning program, SuccessFactors has grown into a high-performing, innovative organization that leverages the same foundation for future learning that it advocates and implements for its customers."
In January 2012, SuccessFactors faced three key challenges: high sales attrition, slow time-to-quota for new hire sales reps, and too few sales reps achieving quota. In order to enable its sales team for success, SuccessFactors' Learning team instituted a Boot Camp for onboarding new sales personnel and built it on SuccessFactors' Learning Management System (LMS) and its own social collaboration platform, SAP Jam. The team also devised a go-to-market product "playbook" for each product to take sales people through the entire sales cycle, from identifying potential customers to closing deals. As a result, in 2012, new sales rep ramp time was cut in half, three times more sales reps met quota, and overall sales attrition was down 80 percent compared to 2011 sales new hires.
"At SuccessFactors, our learning team works hard to be industry thought leaders and drive execution excellence," said Jenny Dearborn, chief learning officer, SAP Cloud. "We pride ourselves in implementing our own LMS to accelerate performance and stimulate collaboration for our employees and customers. Our LMS enables administrators and end-users to create, access and measure e-learning tools anytime, anywhere, with power and flexibility."
The final Learning! 100 rankings were announced at the Awards Dinner and Reception held at the ELCE on August 26th at the Marriot Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Jenny Dearborn, chief learning officer of SAP Cloud, attended to formally accept the award for SuccessFactors and to take advantage of more than 120 sessions around the theme of "Building Smarter Organizations." SuccessFactors was also featured on the cover of The 2013 Learning! 100 Award Issue of Elearning! Magazine.
