SuccessFactors Saas (Software as a Service)

The High Cost of On-Premise Software

High costs and return on Investments (ROI) are top of mind concerns for organizations, both large and small. With on-premise enterprise software, organizations experience greater upfront and hidden costs during implementation. Unforeseen hardware requirements, maintenance, upgrades and support fees add up quickly.

Organizations managing on-premise enterprise software burn over 75% of their total IT budgets on simply maintaining their current enterprise software infrastructure. SuccessFactors Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery model eliminates these factors altogether.

All You Need is a Web Brower

SuccessFactors Software as a Service

What is SaaS?

Unlike traditional enterprise software delivery models, SuccessFactors SaaS is a recurring subscription based model hosted from our secure IBM datacenter and delivered on-demand. SaaS requires no hardware purchases, software installations, network setup, or ongoing system upgrades and patches from the customer’s perspectives. All you need is a web browser to access the application online. With this model, start up fees and times are greatly reduced, helping you realize the value of our solution more quickly. Since we are a subscription-based business, we have to earn your business each and every year so we share aligned incentives to make you successful.

Why SaaS?

Transparency and lower TCO
There are no hidden costs or fees with SaaS. You don’t have to purchase hardware or invest in any infrastructure and with our fixedbid professional services deployment model you can avoid costly project overruns common with on-premise solutions.

Rapid deployment
By eliminating the upfront work required to setup hardware and install software, you can reduce your time to "go-live"and start driving value more quickly.

Reduced administrative burden
Since we manage all network maintenance and upgrades on an ongoing basis, your IT staff is free to work on your organization’s most strategic initiatives.

Faster Innovation
Since all customers leverage the same code base, we can easily deliver new features every month at no additional cost.

Advanced security
We partner with IBM to leverage one of the newest and most advanced SAS70 certified data centers. IBM performs ongoing security scans and SuccessFactors has passed over 16 rigorous security and infrastructure audits.

Configuration not customization
Our highly configurable application provides a tailored solution without customizing the code. Get the benefits of customization but avoid the costs of deploying and maintaining custom code.

On-demand does not always mean SaaS

Many software vendors claim to deliver “on-demand” solutions but use that term loosely. A true SaaS solution like SuccessFactors employs a multi-tenant architecture. A multi-tenant architecture leverages a common code base and server infrastructure for all customers to maximize efficiency and performance. Separate instances of the application provide customers with their own database for complete and secure control over their data. Faux SaaS providers can appear to provide the benefits of SaaS at first glance.

ASP from a Third Party
An Application Service Provider (ASP) is an application that is hosted by a 3rd party and usually not associated with the software vendor. The host ordinarily lacks expertise in the application which may result in poor performance and slower issue resolutions. Maintenance and software upgrades require additional fees.

ASP On-demand
Some vendors host their software via ASP themselves and call their offering “on-demand”. In this model each customer is deployed on isolated servers and across disparate release versions with custom code. Maintenance becomes unwieldy and results in slow performance, poor customer service, and costly upgrades.
