Q: Where in your background did you learn the most?
A: I’ve been lucky to have great managers and mentors. My first manager at HP showed how developing the individual creates a great team that delivers great results. Others taught me the value of a culture of openness, trust, and respect. Founding and leading a startup was both exhilarating and humbling, but it taught me the most about business and myself.
Q: If you could meet one person in history, who would you meet and why?
A: Alan Turing. The father of all modern computing.
Q: What's been your biggest surprise during your time at SuccessFactors?
A: I’ve worked closely with SuccessFactors for many years so I thought I knew the culture, but joining the company was a real eye opener. The energy and dedication of the people is amazing. This is hands down the brightest and most driven team I have ever worked with.
Q: If you had 20 seconds to tell a new client about why they should use SuccessFactors, what would you say?
A: We can have a material effect on both the top line and bottom line of your business. It’s all about your people. They create success. Give them the tools, the mission, the goals and then measure results and reward them. Using SuccessFactors you can understand your talent and how to adjust for change.
Q: Why are you proud to work at SuccessFactors?
A: The people. Everyone here pulls together. The talent is the best I have ever been privileged to work with. We are developing great products that really do make a difference.
