What I like to do outside of work:
Raising 3 children and all the fun that comes with them, I like pretty much all sports, especially Golf, baseball and football. Also enjoy travel and family vacations.

Q: Where in your background did you learn the most?
A: Professionally, BroadVision gave me exposure to many different disciplines including Alliances, Direct Sales, and Services. During my tenure running worldwide services, I gained an appreciation for the true value of the Software as a Service model by witnessing the inefficiencies of delivering and supporting behind the firewall software.

Q: If you could meet one person in history, who would you meet and why?
A: I would like to meet Thomas Edison. I have always been fascinated by his constant passion for inventing and growing. He had over 1000 inventions to his name and was the ultimate problem solver in my mind. His drive 100 years ago has changed all of our lives today.

Q: What's been your biggest surprise during your time at SuccessFactors?
A: The positive reaction of Customers to SuccessFactors solutions. Our customers appreciate our company and products. Most software customers merely tolerate their vendors. I had one partner at our user group comment your customers even say nice things when you leave the room.

Q: If you had 20 seconds to tell a new client about why they should use SuccessFactors, what would you say?
A: SuccessFactors is a solution that betters your entire organization at every level. It helps you select and develop your employees. It helps you align goals. Q: Why do you believe in the promise of Performance & Talent Management?
A: Many people would describe their work environments using words like "unaligned", "political" and "unfair". Characteristics like these make many of these work environments unbearable. Performance and Talent management provides an avenue to make jobs more productive and gratifying as well as organizations more efficient. Performance and Talent management enables companies to truly align and measure the impact of its work force and to reward and keep its critical talent pool.

Q: Do you have a story or memory of how P&TM has helped you in your career?
A: Goal alignment is essential to building successful Alliances. This is true both with your partners as well as "your internal organization. It is very common for companies unknowingly to set up internal conflict. This is especially true when you bring partners into the mix. By "drinking our own champagne", I have used our Total Goal Management product to ensure that both our Sales and Professional Services are aligned with our partners and alliances strategy.

Q: Why are you proud to work at SuccessFactors?
A: I am most proud of my customers and my coworkers. SuccessFactors has built and maintained an incredible culture both internally and externally.
