What I like to do outside of work: Anything with my family, running, playing tennis and golf, and reading. Q: Where in your background did you learn the most? A: I have gained great insights from the many different roles I've had in my career. I believe wisdom is gained over time—through understanding cultural differences throughout the world while living in Hong Kong, and differences in leadership between the various CEOs I've had the honor of working with in my past.
Q: If you could meet one person in history, who would you meet and why? A: James Madison. He is considered to be, "the Father of the Constitution" because he had the foresight to draft a document that is as relevant today as it was the day it was written. That is utterly amazing.
Q: What's been your biggest surprise during your time at SuccessFactors? A: The energy, drive, and passion throughout the organization is tremendous.
Q: If you had 20 seconds to tell a new client why they should use SuccessFactors, what would you say? A: Good leaders inherently know the most valuable asset of any great company is its people. The delivery of Business Execution software allows company leaders to unleash the power of their people in ways previously unavailable. Where companies previously lacked tools to align everyone around the company's vision and strategy, now they're able to tightly align around the execution of the initiatives to achieve their stated goals. That's what we are all about.
Q: Why are you proud to work at SuccessFactors? A: We are customer-focused. We listen to our customers who guide us down the path to enable every person within a company feel they made a contribution to the organization's success. |
