What do I like to do outside of work:
Q: Where in your background did you learn the most?
A: Intense phone conferences at SAP with a diverse team scattered across half a dozen time zones - how to listen and how to be clear. Or maybe those late night working sessions with McKinsey colleagues and clients - how to endure. Definitely, sweating through international gymnastics competitions - how to deal with pressure.
Q: If you could meet one person in history who would it be and why?
A: Albert Einstein. Learning the thought process behind relativity from the man himself would be absolutely thrilling. Who knows, maybe his genius would rub off.
Q: If you had 20 seconds to tell a new client about why they should use SuccessFactors, what would you say?
A: It's all about people. Keeping people productive. Keeping people happy. And it's about having the most dedicated people behind you, helping you succeed - the SuccessFactors team.
Q: Why do you believe in the promise of Performance & Talent Management?
A: I've worked with many senior executives who deeply desire support in strengthening their teams and organizations. They pull their hair out in frustration at not having the right tools. Or they invest in tools that are highly complicated and just don't get used. Simple, inexpensive, and truly useful software solutions are the cornerstone of next-level success in Performance & Talent Management. That's what SuccessFactors is delivering. And that's why I believe in the promise.
Q: Do you have a story or memory of how P&TM has helped you in your career?
A: When I first started at McKinsey & Company in 1998 I was like any other associate - totally certain that I must be a hiring error, and prepared to hide any and all deficiencies. Just 12 months later - steeped in an intense feedback culture - I would actually look forward to explicit, hard-hitting reviews. I believe I'm a better professional because of this experience.
Q: Why are you proud to work at SuccessFactors?
A: This is a winning team of professional and personable people.
