Dave joined Greylock in 1980 and opened its west coast office in 1983. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the Harvard Business School.
Dave is on the board of AtHoc, BountyJobs, Cuil, CoWare, EMC Corporation, OpenDNS, Progreso Financiero, richrelevance, SuccessFactors, VMware and Tabula.
Dave also led Greylock's prior involvement with companies such as Doubleclick (Nasdaq:DCLK), Forte Software (acquired by Sun Microsystems), Kiva Software (acquired by Netscape), Legato Systems (acquired by EMC), Decru (acquired by Network Appliance), Internet Security Systems (acquired by IBM), Mentor Graphics, Mobile Automation (acquired by iPass), ccMail (acquired by Lotus/IBM), and Cygnus (acquired by RedHat), Net Effect Systems (acquired by Ask.com), Octane Software (acquired by Epiphany) and Wily Technology (acquired by CA).
Douglas J. Burgum has served as a director since October 2007. From April 2001 to August 2007, Mr. Burgum served as Senior Vice President at Microsoft Corporation. A graduate of North Dakota State University and Stanford University Graduate School of Business (M.B.A.), Mr. Burgum worked at the Chicago office of McKinsey & Co. until 1983, when he returned to North Dakota and provided the seed capital for Great Plains Software, Inc., a business-management software company. He served Great Plains in executive roles including Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors, leading the company’s successful growth to an initial public offering in 1997 and through its acquisition by Microsoft Corporation in 2001 for $1.1 billion. In 2006, he founded the Kilbourne Group, a company committed to inspiring and supporting the redevelopment of downtown Fargo. Mr. Burgum currently serves on the Advisory Board of Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Arthur Companies, Inc., a privately-held diversified agribusiness; Intelligent InSites, a privately-held enterprise-visibility solutions company focused on the healthcare industry; is co-founder and chairman of Arthur Ventures, a technology venture fund; and has established the Doug Burgum Family Fund, which focuses its charitable giving on youth and education.

Prior to SuccessFactors, Lars worked for Unilever, one of the 10 largest transnational employers in the world, in Amsterdam, Germany, Amsterdam and Denmark. At different points of his career at Unilever, Lars was globally responsible for two large, recognized product lines, development, marketing and sourcing, Lars was Business Unit P&L Director, and Board Member in a 13,000 person division, and Country Manager.
Lars has a Masters of Science from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was a Sloan Fellow, and a B.B.A in economics, psychology and consumer behavior from Copenhagen Business School.
Eric C.W. Dunn has served as a director since May 2004. Since June 2003, Mr. Dunn has been a General Partner of Cardinal Venture Capital, a venture capital firm. From August 2000 to June 2003, Mr. Dunn owned and operated Kingston Creek Ventures, a venture capital firm. From 1986 to 2000, Mr. Dunn served in a number of senior executive capacities at Intuit Inc., a financial software company, including Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President, and Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Dunn currently serves on the Boards of Directors of TIBCO Software, Inc. and several private companies. Mr. Dunn holds a B.A. in physics from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Bill McGlashan is a founding partner of TPG Growth, which manages $2 billion of capital and is the global growth equity, and smaller buyout arm of TPG.
Prior to joining TPG Growth in 2004, Bill McGlashan was the Chairman and CEO of Critical Path (NASDAQ: CPTH). He joined Critical Path in April of 2001 to undertake a major financial and operational restructuring of the company. Previously, Mr. McGlashan co-founded and served as President of Pharmanex, Inc. and was CEO of Generation Ventures, a firm focused on developing new ventures in China in the areas of healthcare and technology.
Mr. McGlashan earned a B.A. with honors from Yale University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Bill is a member of Young Presidents' Organization in the San Francisco Barbary Coast chapter. He also serves on the Boards of AgraQuest, David’s Bridal, Elevance Renewable Sciences, Vincraft, XOJET, the Bay Area Discovery Museum, and the Yale School of Management.
Elizabeth A. Nelson has served as a director since September 2007. Since December 2005, Ms. Nelson has been an independent consultant to several private companies. From November 1997 until its acquisition in December 2005 by Adobe Systems Incorporated, Ms. Nelson served in various executive positions at Macromedia, Inc., a multimedia software company, including Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary since February 1998 and a member of the Board of Directors since January 2005. Prior to joining Macromedia, Ms. Nelson spent eight years at Hewlett-Packard Company, a computer-hardware company, where she held various positions in international finance and corporate development. Ms. Nelson serves on the boards of directors of Autodesk, SuccessFactors and Greenbox Technology. Ms. Nelson holds a B.S. in foreign service from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dave Whorton has served as a director since April 2003. In March 2006, Dave founded Tugboat Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm focused on SAAS, consumer Internet, software infrastructure, mobile and disruptive technology ventures. Dave serves on the board of Cuil, Newschools Venture Fund, RepairPal, RichRelevance and SuccessFactors.
Prior to Tugboat, Dave was a Managing Director of TPG Ventures, a venture capital firm. Dave founded Good Technology, Inc. in 2000 and served as its founding Chief Executive Officer then Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors through 2003. During the late 90s, Dave was an Associate Partner of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Dave also worked at Netscape, Optical Engineering, Bain & Company and Hewlett Packard. Dave holds an M.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.B.A. from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
