Doug Burgum

Chairman of the Board

Douglas J. Burgum has served as a director since October 2007. From April 2001 to August 2007, Mr. Burgum served as Senior Vice President at Microsoft Corporation. A graduate of North Dakota State University and Stanford University Graduate School of Business (M.B.A.), Mr. Burgum worked at the Chicago office of McKinsey & Co. until 1983, when he returned to North Dakota and provided the seed capital for Great Plains Software, Inc., a business-management software company. He served Great Plains in executive roles including Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors, leading the company’s successful growth to an initial public offering in 1997 and through its acquisition by Microsoft Corporation in 2001 for $1.1 billion.

In 2006, he founded the Kilbourne Group, a company committed to inspiring and supporting the redevelopment of downtown Fargo. Mr. Burgum currently serves on the Advisory Board of Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Arthur Companies, Inc., a privately-held diversified agribusiness; Intelligent InSites, a privately-held enterprise-visibility solutions company focused on the healthcare industry; is co-founder and chairman of Arthur Ventures, a technology venture fund; and has established the Doug Burgum Family Fund, which focuses its charitable giving on youth and education.

Today, SuccessFactors has more than 3,500 customers in 168 countries, in 34 languages, 60 different industries and with more than 15 million paying recurring users, the most in the Application Cloud. Listed on NYSE, the French and German exchange.

Lars was chosen as “Best CEO of a large company” in the 2010 San Francisco Business Times Innovation and Technology Awards, and E&Y “Entrepreneur of the year” in 2009. Mr. Dalgaard holds a Bsc. (Ha) from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark and a M.S. from Stanford University Graduate School of Business as a Sloan Fellow.

Prior to SuccessFactors, Lars was 5 and 3 years with Unilever and Novartis respectively, in 5 different countries,(Germany, Switzerland, USA, Holland, Denmark), with roles in global M&A, Corporate Finance and Controlling, Sales, running a global business unit, and was a local company CEO, consolidating 5 acquisitions into one company, that gained 80% market share.

Eric Dunn

Eric Dunn

Eric C.W. Dunn has served as a director since May 2004. Since March 2010, Mr. Dunn has been a Senior Vice President at Intuit, Inc. From June 2003 to March 2010, Mr. Dunn was a General Partner of Cardinal Venture Capital, a venture capital firm. From August 2000 to June 2003, Mr. Dunn owned and operated Kingston Creek Ventures, a venture capital firm. From 1986 to 2000, Mr. Dunn served in a number of senior executive capacities at Intuit Inc., a financial software company, including Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President, and Chief Technology Officer.

Mr. Dunn currently serves on the Boards of Directors of TIBCO Software, Inc. and several private companies. Mr. Dunn holds a B.A. in physics from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Bill Harris

Bill Harris

Mr. Harris has founded multiple technology companies, and is currently founder and CEO of Personal Capital, an early-stage financial services firm. He currently serves on the boards of Yodlee, Announce Media and Go Daddy, and formerly served on the boards of Macromedia, EarthLink, Visual Sciences and RSA Security. Harris was formerly president of ChipSoft, CEO of Intuit, and CEO of PayPal.

William McGlashan, Jr.

William McGlashan, Jr.

Bill McGlashan is a founding partner of TPG Growth, which manages $2 billion of capital and is the global growth equity, and smaller buyout arm of TPG.

Prior to joining TPG Growth in 2004, Bill McGlashan was the Chairman and CEO of Critical Path (NASDAQ: CPTH). He joined Critical Path in April of 2001 to undertake a major financial and operational restructuring of the company. Previously, Mr. McGlashan co-founded and served as President of Pharmanex, Inc. and was CEO of Generation Ventures, a firm focused on developing new ventures in China in the areas of healthcare and technology.

Mr. McGlashan earned a B.A. with honors from Yale University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Bill is a member of Young Presidents' Organization in the San Francisco Barbary Coast chapter. He also serves on the Boards of AgraQuest, David’s Bridal, Elevance Renewable Sciences, Vincraft, XOJET, the Bay Area Discovery Museum, and the Yale School of Management.

Elizabeth Nelson

Elizabeth (Betsey) Nelson

Elizabeth A. Nelson has served as a director since September 2007. Since December 2005, Ms. Nelson has been an independent consultant to emerging growth private companies. From November 1997 until its acquisition in December 2005 by Adobe Systems Incorporated, Ms. Nelson served in various executive positions at Macromedia, Inc., a multimedia software company, including Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary since February 1998. She was also a member of the Board of Directors since January 2005. Prior to joining Macromedia, Ms. Nelson spent eight years at Hewlett-Packard Company, a computer-hardware company, where she held various positions in international finance and corporate development.

Ms. Nelson currently serves on the boards of directors of Ancestry.com, Brightcove, and Yodlee in addition to SuccessFactors. Ms. Nelson holds a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. with Distinction from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania
